Denticon data extraction, with no write API to lean on

Denticon has no write API. Every integration we've built against it starts from that constraint: what you can do is read and extract, not push data back in through an endpoint that doesn't exist.

Read and extract, not write

Reporting, staging and reconciliation all run off scheduled reads out of Denticon. The handful of changes that do need to land back inside it, because there's no API path for them, go through a person by hand and are then confirmed automatically rather than assumed. That's a slower path than a write API would be, and it's the one Denticon actually gives you.

Scheduled reads extract from Denticon into staging and the lakehouse; changes that must land back in Denticon go through a person by hand and are confirmed automatically afterwards.

Where the extracted data goes

Denticon is one of the systems staged into the Microsoft Fabric lakehouse described on Data & Analytics — bronze, silver and gold layers, conformed into Kimball dimensions and facts alongside Dentrix Enterprise, Cloud9 Ortho and Great Plains.

Where it's running

A multi-specialty dental service organization runs Denticon alongside Cloud9 Ortho, UKG Pro, RingCentral and Microsoft Fabric (read the case study). Another dental service organization runs Denticon alongside Dentrix Enterprise, Dolphin, Peerlogic and ADP Workforce Now (read the case study).
