One access path and one set of numbers across two practice-management systems
Identity lifecycle automation driven from UKG Pro, and a Microsoft Fabric lakehouse with Power BI reporting, for a multi-specialty dental service organization running two practice-management systems.
Two practice-management systems, and neither of them will take a write. Denticon has no write API and Cloud9’s API is deprecated, so both halves of the problem here, granting access into those systems and getting numbers out of them, had to be built around that constraint rather than through it. The group is a multi-specialty dental service organization running two practice-management systems: Denticon and Cloud9 Ortho on the clinical side, UKG Pro as the HR system of record, and RingCentral for telephony.
Access into systems that can’t be written to
A TA LifeCycle Manager deployment watches UKG Pro and provisions or removes access across Denticon, Cloud9, RingCentral and the Microsoft estate as people are hired, change roles, or leave. It runs as its own fully isolated deployment for this client. Because Denticon has no write API and Cloud9’s API is deprecated, a provisioning step against either one goes through a verified manual path and is confirmed automatically afterwards, rather than firing a call that doesn’t exist. See employee identity lifecycle for what the service covers.
One question, asked once, answered across both systems
Offices, patients and providers are named differently in each system, so no question can be asked across the whole group until they’re conformed. The Denticon and Cloud9 Ortho data lands in a medallion lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric: bronze holding the raw staged extracts, silver conforming offices, patients and providers across both systems, gold modeled into Kimball dimensions and facts. A DirectLake semantic model feeds executive Power BI reporting straight out of Fabric’s own storage. See data & analytics for the architecture, or Denticon and Cloud9 Ortho for what extraction looks like against each system specifically.
