Dentrix Enterprise runs on SQL Server. That's the entire practice-management system's data layer — but the schema itself, the DDB_* tables that hold it, isn't something the vendor documents publicly. Real integration work here starts with understanding that schema directly, not reading a manual.
A service that reads the database itself
We run a service built directly against the Dentrix Enterprise SQL Server database, reading the DDB_* tables the vendor doesn't document, so reporting and integration work don't have to wait on Dentrix Enterprise ever publishing a supported API for the data it already holds.
Document Center attachments, available to other systems
Document Center attachments are locked inside Dentrix Enterprise, which means a chart document you already own is unavailable to every other system in the group. We make those documents reachable from the rest of the estate under controlled access, so nobody has to export files by hand every time another system needs one.
Maintenance without breaking the database underneath it
We also run tooling that manages Dentrix Enterprise's audit and FHIR triggers and kills open sessions during maintenance windows — database housekeeping that has to happen directly against SQL Server because there's no application-level control for it.
